BISAC’s annual Health and Wellness RECOVERY DAY event is an educational and fun-filled occasion that has taken place each summer for the last nine years. The day is filled with health information from non-profit organizations, yummy food booths fun games for the keiki, and the incredibly exciting Strongman competition.
2014 marked BISAC’s 50th anniversary and to celebrate this important milestone the 1st annual Summer Jam was held, due in large part to generous community sponsors.

Over 4000 people attended our event this year, enjoying the festivities and cheering for the amazing strongman competitors as they pulled trucks, flipped tractor tires and showed how to be healthy as well as tough.

“Many people may not know this but I was a heavy user of drugs. I know how hard it is to overcome addiction. It makes you push away from the things that you love the most. I’ve been clean for 5 years now and I’m accomplishing things I thought I never could have accomplished. It is possible to overcome addiction and live a happy, healthy life, as I am living proof of it.”
